Dental Implants
All-on-6
As All-on-4, with two additional implants per arch for heavier bites and denser support.
The same concept as All-on-4 with six implants instead of four. The extra support spreads bite force across more points, which matters in patients with strong bites, in longer arches, and where bone quality is adequate but not excellent. It also gives a margin — if one implant were ever lost, the bridge has more to stand on.
How it's done
-
01
Planning scan
As All-on-4, with the additional implant positions planned around available bone.
-
02
Placement
Six implants per arch, typically two angled at the rear.
-
03
Provisional bridge
Fitted the same day where stability allows.
-
04
Integration
Three to four months.
-
05
Final bridge
Definitive restoration fitted on the second trip.
Who it suits
Heavy bites, larger jaws, bruxists, and anyone who wants more redundancy than four implants provide.
Where it falls short
More expensive and requires more bone. For many patients four implants are genuinely sufficient, and a good surgeon will say so rather than upsell.
Recovery
