Smile Makeovers
Composite Bonding, Full Mouth
All 20 visible teeth bonded together as one design — the reversible alternative to a crown-based makeover.
The same freehand technique applied across the whole visible smile, designed as a single result rather than tooth by tooth. It achieves much of what a Hollywood Smile does, without reducing the underlying teeth — which is why some surgeons suggest it first for younger patients.
How it's done
-
01
Design
Photographs and a wax-up or digital preview establish the target shape and proportions.
-
02
Whitening first
Any whitening is done before bonding, since composite will not lighten later and must be matched to the final shade.
-
03
Sequential build-up
Teeth are bonded in sections across two or three appointments, checking symmetry as the arch progresses.
-
04
Bite check
The finished edges are checked in function — bonding that interferes with the bite chips quickly.
-
05
Final polish
Every surface is polished in stages to resist staining.
Who it suits
People who want a whole-smile change but would rather not have healthy teeth prepared for crowns.
Where it falls short
More maintenance than porcelain and a shorter lifespan. It also depends heavily on the individual dentist's artistry — there is no lab to fall back on.
Recovery
None, though a night guard is strongly advised if you clench.
