Dental Implants
Same-Day Implants
Implants placed and fixed provisional teeth fitted in a single visit, with permanent teeth three months later.
Also called immediate loading. Where the bone is dense enough to hold the implants completely still from the moment they are placed, a fixed provisional bridge can be screwed on the same day. You leave with teeth that are fixed in place rather than a removable plate, and the bone integrates underneath while you carry on normally.
How it's done
-
01
Candidacy check
A CBCT scan confirms enough bone volume and density. This is the step that decides everything, and not every jaw qualifies.
-
02
Placement
Implants are placed at a high primary stability — measured, not estimated — because the provisional loads them immediately.
-
03
Provisional bridge
A fixed bridge is fitted and screwed down the same day, adjusted so the bite spreads evenly.
-
04
Integration
Three months of normal life while the bone fuses.
-
05
Permanent bridge
Second trip: the provisional comes off and the final restoration is fitted, made to the shape you have been wearing.
Who it suits
People replacing a full arch or several teeth who cannot accept months with a gap or a removable denture.
Where it falls short
Requires good bone. Where stability is borderline, a surgeon should refuse to load immediately — loading a mobile implant is how implants fail.
Recovery
Swelling for several days. Strictly soft diet for the first weeks — the provisional is fixed, but the implants underneath are still integrating.
